Every spot is reached along public roads and paths from a road you can stop on or a public car park, plus at most 30 m of open ground to the water. Inside a park, beach, nature reserve, or on open rock or sand, the walk to the water may be up to 300 m, and from a public car park up to 150 m; the spot's details say so.
Privacy: spots stay at least 50 m from homes and holiday homes, unless a public road or path runs between. Islands count only if a bridge leads there.
View: each spot has a 60° wedge where every line of sight reaches at least 500 m of open water. Islands further out are part of the view. Tap a spot to see its wedge.
Spots are not ranked. The colour says what kind of place it is, not how good the view is. The list runs north to south.
Check before you go. The data has gaps: a path may be missing, a car park unmapped, a cottage new. Use the Street View and Karttapaikka links in each spot.
